The 2010 International Sculpture Biennial will take place from July 17 until July 24, in Resistencia, the Capital City of Chaco. This edition has convoked 10 of the most prestigious international artists, who will perform, in the open sky and before thousand of spectators, an original and unprecedented sculptural work.
The massive attendance of the public coming from the most diverse places of the country and the world, will turn this magic setting into a cultural and social success that, as in the previous biennials, will summon more than 150,000 people to live a moment of life through Art.
The destination of sculptures will be the streets and avenues of Resistencia, which will increase the sculptural heritage of the city, which is currently formed by 520 works from the most renowned artists of the planet.
The sculptures resulting from this Biennial will remain in sight and at everybody’s reach, in a city that today is considered as a singular outdoor museum and a space where the relevance of its works, the respect and the proud that its inhabitants feel for them converge in a true expression of identity, in which Art is a mechanism of improvement and a means of spiritual elevation.
