The 2012 International Sculpture Biennial summons 12 prestigious international artists, who will carve - outdoors and before thousands of spectators - an original and unprecedented sculpture inspired in “The Prophecy”.

At the same time, the Challenge Award will take place, with the participation of 16 Beauty Arts Schools from diverse provinces.

The massive attendance of the public from the most distant spots of the country and worldwide, will turn the Biennial into a cultural and social success attended by more than 150,000 people.

The resulting sculptures will be eventually erected in streets and avenues of Resistencia to increase its cultural heritage, which is currently formed by 530 art works.

Art is on sight and at everybody`s reach, in a city that is currently an outdoor museum, where the importance of its art works, the respect and the proud of its inhabitants converge into a true expression of identity.
